DESCRIPTION A.P.S. Dark Cork is preformed from clean, granulated cork particles, bonded together under the effects of heat and steam, a totally natural process, with no added binders as per ASTM C-640. The resultant material is strong, light in weight, flexible, acid resistant and waterproof. The galvalume skin that sandwiches the cork is a corrosion resistant sheet, hot dipped coated with an aluminum zinc alloy. USE A.P.S. Dark Cork with Galvalume is ideal for use as an anti-vibration isolation joint. When used in conjunction with A.P.S. Neo-Duck, a woven cotton duck neoprene, it is particularly suited to applications where alignment must be maintained, ie, machinery presses and stamps, anvil pads, turrets, roadway supports, bearing pads, etc. |
